Jan Ludvík

As a trained architect, I take great pleasure in observing experienced architects shaping our projects and discussing ideas with them. At the same time, I enjoy watching young, talented architects we’ve given opportunities to establish themselves on a global stage. On a personal level, I find joy in seeing our projects completed, inhabited, and thriving years later. I find it deeply fulfilling walking around these with my children and proudly sharing stories about their creation.

I’ve always loved cities with interesting architecture but also ones that contain a rich morphology and diverse social fabric—these are qualities that Prague embodies. What I love about Karlín is that, for residents, it feels like a "village" within a big city, threaded with a cosmopolitan crowd of multinational company employees. When I head out for a beer, I never know if I’ll run into a business partner, my son’s teacher, or my dentist! From a professional perspective, Karlín is an ideal example of a heterogeneous city of short distances, which aligns with the vision we strive
for in all our projects.

Managing Partner

From a career perspective, The Karlín Group represents my "American dream come true". From a personal perspective, it’s a group of friends I enjoy working with, spending time with, and who constantly inspire and enrich me.

In terms of business, The Karlín Group is a rare phenomenon among its predominantly corporate competitors. Its creative atmosphere and its reliance on intuition in strategic decision-making give it extraordinary potential.
